Russia ratifies uranium agreement with Mongolia RIA Novosti, PUBLISHED January 08, 2010 Russia has ratified an agreement with Mongolia to set up a joint uranium mining company, Dordon Uran, the Kremlin said on Thursday. The agreement was signed last August, following talks between Russian President Dmitry Medvedev with his Mongolian counterpart Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj. Dordon Uran is expected to produce 2,000 tons per year. Terms and conditions for the company were agreed between Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and his Mongolian counterpart Sukhbaataryn Batbold in December.
