Bushehr nuclear plant to receive additional Russian staff RIA Novosti, PUBLISHED October 14, 2010 The number of Russian specialists working at the construction of the Bushehr nuclear plant in Iran will be increased by 100 in the near future, the ISNA news agency reported on Wednesday. Andrei Reznichenko  The agency cited Bushehr project manager Mahmoud Jafari as saying there were a total of 2,500 Russian employees working on the ambitious project. The Iranian official said the Bushehr nuclear facility was undergoing a number of final tests prior to the loading of nuclear fuel into the reactor. The Bushehr project is being implemented with Russia's assistance under the full supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency. Under a bilateral agreement, which has received IAEA approval, Russia will initially operate the plant, supplying its fuel and taking away all the spent fuel for the next two or three years, but will eventually hand over full control to Iran.
