The best innovation solutions of NPP-2006 Fair included in the project of a new NPP
The chairmen of organizational Committee of "NPP-2006 and scientific and technical advance" Fair, the deputy director general of Rosenergoatom for science Vladimir Asmolov has announced that the best innovation solutions for enhancing technical and economic indices of the new Russian NPP would be taken into account in the NPP-2006 project.
In accordance with the results of scientific and technical expert examinations, about 100 potentially effective innovation projects have been defined within the fair. The experts have chosen the best project in each of 10 areas of equipment and systems used in construction and operation of NPPs.
By now it has been decided that the project "The systems of thermal power accumulation" (OJSC VNIIAES) would receive the means for completing R&D work. This system is designed for supply effective and safe operation of NPP in the mode of power change.
The project for seismic survey of the sites proposed for new NPPs in accordance with IAEA requirements (FGUP NIIIT) is actively being developed now. The realization of this project can essentially increase a quality and decrease the period of exploration work.
The project of OJSC Promengineering in the area of systems for radiation control also will be integrated in the base project NPP-2006.
The project of VNIIAES "Automatic control system for technological processes (ASU TP)" will "become the basis for new NPP control system". Now several innovation technologies are at the stage of incorporation in new NPP project.
Besides the projects above, engineering institutes consider a possibility of using other advanced projects, concerning the decrease of own electricity consumption at NPPs, development of innovation systems for preparation of feed water, diagnostics of equipment, enhance of ecological indices and oth.
As a whole, according to experts' assessments, the projects involved through nuclear branch innovation system can increase the efficiency and economic indices of NPP by 5-10%.The Center "Atom-innovacia" consider a possibility of carrying out analogous expert-innovation actions to reveal advanced developments for enhancing efficiency and safety of new projects of Russian NPPs.
