Special commission of IAEA will inspect Rostechnadzor activity in the sphere of nuclear and radiation safety in 2009. As Rostechnadzor told, the Russian side took the initiative.
"We invited IAEA for inspection, in which international experts will estimate the skill of Russia to keep nuclear and radiation safety measures that is very important for realizing ambitious plans for nuclear power development in Russia", - Rostechnadzor head Constantine Pulikovsky noted.
The Federal Service for ecological, technological and nuclear supervision of Russia already cooperates with IAEA within consulting and technical meetings and training courses", - ITAR-TASS reported.
Besides Rostechnadzor is taking part in development of the Regulatory Authority Information System RAIS 3.0.
