Balakovo NPP launches half year-repair work

Repair work will be at the 1st unit in the nearest 1,5 months. According to press-center of Balakovo NPP full technical modernization of the 1st unit is planned, including the replacement of several turbines and generator. Despite of large-scale of work, the specialists call it the planned repair work.

Capital repair of the 2nd unit is planned in August. It will take three months, till November. Then repair work begins at the 4th unit.

Balakovo NPP's press-center noted "It is a large preparation before visit of IAEA's experts in the next year.

Russia and Myanmar signed an intergovernmental agreement for the construction of a small modular reactor
On 4 March, an intergovernmental agreement on principles of cooperation in the construction of a SMR (small modular reactor) in Myanmar was signed during the state visit of Myanmar leadership to Russia.
The document was signed in the presence of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Chairman of the State Administration Council and Prime Minister of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, by Alexey Likhachev, Rosatom State Corporation Director General, and Dr. Myo Thein Kyaw, Union Minister of Science and Technology of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
