False function of fire-protection system at Kalinin NPP

On July 19, at 10:12 a.m. false function of fire-protection system has happened, Kalinin NPP information service reported.

Fire brigades call was canceled due to false function. There are no violations of restrictions and conditions of safe operation of Kalinin NPP units.

At present two units of Kalinin NPP operate with total power 2025 MW. The planned repair is realized at the 2nd unit.

Radiation background around Kalinin NPP is 7-13 mR/h that corresponds to natural values.
