Ukraine and Russia held meeting on complex study of Chernobyl NPP units
On July 19-20 nuclear power specialists from Ukraine and Russian held meeting in Chernobyl center (Slavutich) devoted to preparing and carrying out complex engineer and radiation studies of NPP units, information service of Chernobyl Center wrote.
The representatives of Rosenergoatom, Energoatom, Russian and Ukrainian NPPs paid attention to relevance of engineer and radiation studies, when decommissioning NPP units. The Chernobyl center's employments told about their experience of preparing similar studies and developing corresponding computer data bases.
Preparation for decommissioning NPP units is very important issue both in Ukraine and Russia, because in 70-ies - 80-ies the start-ups of NPP units were realized at a quick pace. So designed lifetime of reactors finishes almost simultaneously.
