Training department of Kola NPP successfully passed certification

On July 16-19 Rosenergoatom Commission held certification of Training department (TD) of Kola NPP.

Personnel training of Kola NPP is a key in providing safe operation of NPP. Just for these purposes this department exists.

Kola NPP TD faced a difficult tasks - to tell about methods of work with personnel in maximum short terms, to prove its qualification and to confirm the propriety of approach to training.

According to the results of certification training departments can be certificated for one, three or five years depending on remarks concerning training process at NPP. As a result of inspection, Kola NPP received certification for maximum period - 5 years.

The following directions of TD activity were certificated: organization and management of training process; personnel qualification and providing initial and advances training for NPP personnel; personnel program; planning and methodology; training and teaching aids; NPP personnel training in audiences, laboratories, workplace and workshops; practical training of NPP persinnel using teaching aids.

Each of these directions has sufficiently wide range of subjects and tasks. They across each other repeatedly. So usually the integrated inspection is held.

Rosenergoatom commission was chaired by the head of Rosenergoatom Personnel management department Ludmila Bystrikova and involved training department heads of Smolensk, Balakovo, Novovoronezh and Beloyarsk NPPs, the representative of VNIIAES and the chief inspector of Personnel management department. They all are professionals and they can give necessary recommendations for improving quality of work, exchange by experience.

On 4 March, an intergovernmental agreement on principles of cooperation in the construction of a SMR (small modular reactor) in Myanmar was signed during the state visit of Myanmar leadership to Russia.
