The 2nd unit of Taiwan NPP reached full capacity

On July 11, 2007 the 2nd unit of Taiwan NPP reached full capacity and the final stage of the 2nd unit commissioning began. The increase of unit power till 100% was done after receiving the corresponding permission of the National Nuclear Safety Administration of China (NNSA).

Since July 29 the 2nd unit is under 700-hours demonstration operation, and the work scheduled continues.

Since its start-up in May, 2007, the 2nd unit generated 489 792 MW*h.

Commercial commissioning of this unit is planned in September 2007.
