Nuclear power specialists, experts and representative of legislation bodies consider the foundation of open joint stock company Atomenergoprom as an important step to realization of the reform of nuclear energy and industry complex.
Research director of the Electrogorsk research and engineering center for NPP safety (EREC) Bulat Nigmatulin notes that the established "united structure should solve more effectively problems in management, enhance economic relations between individual enterprises of nuclear power complex" In his opinion, it should "bring more transparency in cost of development and operation of nuclear facilities".
RF deputy chairmen of the Security Committee at the State Duma, the chairman of Duma Commission on Struggle against Corruption of Michael Grishankov noted that "consolidation of assets of enterprises leads evidently to the growth of capitalization and, naturally it will be more profitable for investment companies to work with this powerful holding as Atomenergoprom.
By opinion of the member of the RF Council Michael Margelov, the development of civil nuclear energy complex within the single strategy is very important for realization the federal target program of nuclear power and industry complex development.
Representatives of "the Union of employers in nuclear power industry and science of Russia" are sure that Atomenergoprom will improve its competitiveness and investment attractiveness.
They told to journalists: "Foundation of the united structure in nuclear industry allows to involve more number of organization in solving social problems and will lead to more dynamic development of social-labour sphere of our enterprises and nuclear power industry as a whole".
Experts also note the importance of public opinion for development of nuclear power. According to Nigmatulin, "we'd like to develop nuclear power with the support of the whole population in Russia. To receive this support is a very important task.
Michael Grishenkov also emphasized the expediency of supervision of Atomenergoprom activity. "The government has always to supervise the area of nuclear technologies. So it is obviously that the state has 100% shares. Besides Russia has obligations under NPT to control nuclear technologies, i.e. the supervision should be extreme rigid and be existed at the governmental level".
