Russian people magnify danger of radiation and nuclear threat tens thousand times, - deputy director of The Nuclear Safety Institute Russian Academy of science (IBRAE) , Leonid Bolshov announced at press-conference devoted to the struggle against international nuclear terrorism.

Investigation and public opinion poll witnesses about it. According to Bolshov, that's the detonating material, which can be used by terrorists to fulfill some political goals.

For example, there is a situation at Balakovo and Rostov NPPs, when small incidents not having radiation threat obtained the most powerful "explossion" in mass communications As a result about 20 million people in the central part of Russia received information and psychological jolt.

"Our aim is to decrease this break, this magnified feeling of danger in imagination of people", -Bolshov says.

Experts taking part in press-conference told that the level of safety of Russian nuclear facilities is sufficiently high. After explosion at Chernobyl NPP enormous measures were taken to prevent similar catastrophe in future.

"Secret tests carried out under abnormal conditions, using incorrect technology and without sanction of Moscow was hair trigger of Chernobyl accident. But now it is impossible due to permanent monitoring. I can observe for keeping safety parameters at other facilities, not be out of my institute", - deputy head of the Federal atomic energy agency, Anatoly Kotelnikov told.
