Russian company is possible to be interested in controlling share in Construction management of Khmelnitskaya NPP (US HNPP), which is suggested to sale by auction on July 5.

According to Russian newspaper Izvestia, Rosatom is also interested in Ukrainian nuclear enterprises. In particular, after signing memorandum with Ukratomprom on June 4, 2007, Rosatom head Sergey Kirienko announced about plans to invest in Novokonstantinovskoye uranium deposit, to take part in completion of construction of the 3rd unit of Khmelnitskaya NPP and to suggest a foundation of joint venture with Kharkov enterprise "Turboatom".

The president of the Ukrainian Nuclear Society, Deputy of Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada Vladimir Bronnikov told that interest of Russia to Ukrainian nuclear designing companies is profitable, since Russia will provide the orders for Ukrainian enterprises.

"Ukrainian institutes were developers of turbine and reactor departments of NPP, which constructed over USSR. At present Russia carries out the work on extension of NPP lifetime. Besides Russia embarked upon a new course on building new units", - he noted.

According to director of nuclear power and industry department of Mintopenergo Natalia Shumkova, Ukrainian enterprises mainly operate for Russia.

"Today there is no demand from Ukraine so the companies is looking for work with Russia. Traditionally our companies work with Russian companies. If we have demand in our country, we'll increase capacity of enterprises", - she said.

Depute of Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada Sergey Polishuk believes that the demand in Ukraine will be in the near future, however there is no money yet for national programs.

"Today there is no resources to fulfill "Energy strategy of Ukraine till 2030", - he said.
