The subject of meeting - "Technical decisions making on the basis of probability safety analysis of NPP (PSA)". Representatives of IAEA, Rosenergoatom, FGUP "AtomEnergoProject", NIKIET, SSC "Nuclear and radiation Safety", Rostechnadzor, experts from Finland and USA took part in the meeting. PSA is a part of measures improving NPP safety. The use of calculation technologies allows to make a decision in due time that to prevent equipment failures and to increase NPP reliability. The participants exchanged experience on the use of PSA for increasing NPP ratability and safety. Specialists of finish company "Promet Solutions" Yussi Vaurio told about methods of PSA data collection and its processing. He noted that the work with PSA helped essentially in modernization finish NPP "Loviiza" and "Olkiluoto". IAEA expert in the area of NPP safety assessment Mark Rainhart said that information on the basis of PSA should be the basis for making the balanced decision for improving NPP operation. The deputy head of Rosenergoatom on operation of channel type and fast reactors Sergey Dolganov told that the work with PSA began in 1993 and it was connected mainly with VVER-type reactors. "Today PSA were prepared for all VVER-type reactors", - he emphasized. The participants of meeting adopted a document containing recommendations how to use the PSA for improving NPP safety.
