Regional atomic energy training course launched

Advisor of president for sciences and technology, the Chief of National Atomic Energy Committee, Mustafa Bahran emphasized that the government has a serous trend in using the atomic energy for peaceful purposes and electricity generation.

Bahran said in his speech on the opening of the course which is about blending environmental elements in planning of energy in general and electricity in particular that it is necessary to use (Massage program) which is organized by the national committee of atomic energy in collaboration with the international atomic energy agency for 12 days with 20 attendants from Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Lebanon , Syria and Iraq.

He pointed outthe advantages of the peaceful use of energy, and appreciated the support offered by the international atomic energy agency to Yemen.

International atomic energy agency official of nuclear security Dr. Mark Artof said that this course is very useful for training participants to use the programs of the agency especially that have relation to peaceful applications of developing energy systems (MSAG). He pointed out several issues will be discussed on regional level and their effects on energy choices in addition to ways of developing them.

National coordinator of MSAG program Eng. Shathwan Ismail delivered a speech focused of reviewing the scientific and applicable lectures that will be delivered in the course, he said that the course will handle designation topics, systems of sustainable energy and sources of traditional and new energy.
